Mycotech is a fabrication center that produces architectural materials made out of mycelium. This is                   achievable through a symbiotic relationship between mushroom farms and data centers. These two programs have several ways in which they balance each other out through heat exchange, humidity balance, and energy conversion of spent substrate. This project creates something beneficial for the future of architecture while addressing environmental issues that data centers cause.
This is also an adaptive reuse project, giving purpose to an abandoned grain terminal located in Redhook, Brooklyn. The geometry of the array of silos supports the entire mushroom growing process. A volume was added to create an atrium along the middle of the building where the fabrication spaces float and connect both programs on either side.
